Students can get locked out of an assessment if they have multiple tabs open in their browser or try to access other programs or resources during an assessment. This is very similar to how other assessment platforms work, such as NJSLA / PARCC.
To unlock a student, you will need to go to the same screen you were at when you released the test - that is Tests > Test Center.
From there, click on the three dots on the right of the test in question under the "Action" column. A pop-up menu will appear. Click on the option for OLA Student Admin.
Once in there, you will see the status for all students that are taking the assessment, such as "In Progress," "Finished," and "Locked."
To unlock the student, check the box next to their name and ID number, and then use the "Choose an action" drop down above to select "Unlock test." You can unlock multiple students at one time.
