Google Calendar Meeting Notifications

Thank you to Melanie Piereth for figuring this one out!

Google Calendar can send all kinds of notifications from when events are about to begin to when you've been invited to a meeting.  If you find that you are not getting email notifications when someone has invited you to a meeting, give these steps a shot:

  1. Head on over to https://calendar.google.com and make sure you're signed in to your Hopatcong Schools email account.

  2. In the top right corner, click on the gear icon.

  3. On the left, scroll down to "Settings for my calendars" and click on the calendar with your full name (this is your default "work" calendar).

  4. On the links that appear below your name, click on "Other notifications."

  5. Adjust these settings so that the drop downs on the right say "Email."  Specifically you'll want to set:
    • New events
    • Changed events
    • Canceled events
    • Event responses

It's up to you whether or not you want a daily agenda.

And that's it!  The page will automatically save and you should be all set.
